Your Responsibilities :
- Your role as a Software Engineer II will be to help design, build, and support application development for Android and iOS.
- Make design decisions to deliver a fast, secure, and usable application. Being data driven to keep the quality of the product high.
- Engineer features with strong attention to performance, robustness, resource usage and writing high quality code.
- Contribute to discussions with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project manager, design team) to determine user requirements for a feature. Create beautiful UI and intuitive UX that will delight our users.
- Make contributions in the code and design reviews for the team.
- Consider a variety of feedback channels to incorporate insights into future designs or solution fixes. Incorporate appropriate continuous feedback loops measuring customer value, usage patterns, and other actionable metrics of value.
- Debug customer issues based on the feedback and logs shared by the customer through the feedback channels.
- In alignment with our Microsoft values, commit to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of end-to-end software development life cycle for Android/iOS.
- Experience in writing tests (unit and UI).
- Experience in designing large features or a small product.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fast learner with good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Solid in analytical problem solving and good fundamentals in CS.
- Having good expertise in both Android and iOS platforms.
- Good depth of knowledge in the MVC, MVP, MVPC, MVVP architectures.
